Across the Tri-County, many ALICE®(Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families are working hard while trying to manage rising rent, car repairs, child care gaps, medical bills and tight budgets that can be pushed off track by one unexpected expense.

Workforce Stability
When employees are worried about rent, a medical bill, transportation or child care, it affects more than their home life. It affects their work. Through Thrive@Work™, Trident United Way connects employees with confidential Family Coaching, emergency financial assistance and local resources.
This support does not replace existing employee benefits. It adds a trusted, third-party layer of support that protects privacy, preserves dignity and helps employees stay focused and steady at work. Less stress. More stability. A stronger workforce.
Employee Engagement
Employees are more engaged when they can see how their time and talents strengthen the community around them. Engage+ gives companies hands-on volunteer experiences that support local families while bringing teams together around shared service. Trident United Way handles the planning, supplies and staffing, making it simple for employees to serve together and see their impact here in the Tri-County.
Workplace Giving & Culture
Workplace campaigns give employees a simple way to support the community they call home. Trident United Way provides the tools, materials and support to make campaigns secure, flexible and easy to run, whether they happen in person, online or both. Together, companies and employees connect families across Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties to coaching, resources and support that help them build lasting stability.
Strategic Visibility & Leadership
Uplifting 15,000 families out of poverty by 2035 is a bold goal, and reaching it will take all of us, including the companies actively shaping the future of the Tri-County. Through events, sponsorships and leadership opportunities, Trident United Way places corporate partners in front of business and community leaders while connecting them to regional conversations about family stability, workforce challenges and community growth.
