Trident United Way's Read Across America Day is an annual celebration of reading with students in the Tri-County community!

Volunteers are invited to visit participating classrooms at Title I elementary schools to read a book (or two) to students in grades CD-3rd. Reading aloud to students can help develop literacy skills, leading students down a path toward a successful future.

Healthy Tri-County's "Conversations on Health" initiative is designed to foster meaningful dialogue, promote understanding and drive actionable change within our communities.

For our first conversation of 2025, we are excited to welcome Mandy Halloran (learn more about Mandy) from Able South Carolina! Her talk entitled, "Rethinking Disability: Combatting Medical Ableism Through Disability Justice" explores healthcare experiences and outcomes for disabled individuals and how to create more quality care.
