Our focus on healthy communities centers around improving access to healthcare and addressing underlying factors to ensure that everyone can live their version of health. In partnership with MUSC and Roper St. Francis Healthcare we're proud to provide access to health services to community members through the Trident United Way Centers for Strong Families.
Services include:
- Health screenings like breast cancer, blood sugar and hypertension
- Connection to free and reduced cost health services
- Help navigating the healthcare system, health insurance and complicated diagnoses

Community Health Worker
A Community Health Worker is available for individuals who need help navigating the healthcare system
Book time with the CHW who an answer questions about insurance, connect with providers, navigate multiple conditions and provide health screenings
4th Wednesday of every month, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Roper St. Francis Healtcare Mobile Health Unit
The RSFH Mobile Health Unit is available for individuals who need health screenings
Receive health screenings (blood pressure, glucose/blood sugar, cancer) and health care connection services with a Community Health Worker
