AmeriCorps Service Projects

In addition to serving at project host sites, AmeriCorps Members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of volunteer projects during their service term. These projects provide members the opportunity to give back in other areas of the community while working together as one team.

You helped to create joy with the Trident United Way AmeriCorps team!

518 personal care kits were donated through the 2023 TUW AmeriCorps Bags of Joy - exceeding the original goal of 400! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed and supported the collection drive!

Thank you to the team at Thorne Health for their generous support, packing the personal care kits and providing the boxes for easy delivery! Kits were delivered to Hope Center and Holy City Missions to be distributed to displaced individuals in the community.

2023 AmeriCorps Appreciation Week

2023 AmeriCorps Appreciation Week was held March 13-17. The week included Proclamations from the City of Charleston, City of Goose Creek and the City of North Charleston in recognition of AmeriCorps Week, in addition to a service project and a statewide member recognition program held at the Charleston Library.

This year, members of the Trident United Way AmeriCorps team served at the Charleston Area Seniors Meals on Wheels, preparing meals to be delivered to older adults in the Charleston Community.

Trident United Way Incoming Board Chair Mark Lewis was also honored during this time as an honary AmeriCorps member.

We are incredibly grateful for the members of our AmeriCorps team and all they do to support our Tri-County community!
