Thank you from COVID-19 assistance clients

COVID-19 response has been one of our toughest challenges in the 76 year history of Trident United Way. In March 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Charleston County calls to our 211 Resource Line increased 818% with requests for food assistance.

Trident United Way Resource Connection Centers in Berkeley and Dorchester Counties also saw record client volume, as have our partner agencies who provide direct services such as food banks, utility/housing assistance along with numerous other basic needs.

Many of those helped are first-time clients who were in a job one day, only to find themselves unemployed and in need due to the sudden economic impact of COVID-19.

The stories of gratitde can't be repeated enough - your assistance has directly impacted people's lives. Trident United Way's Tri-County COVID-19 Response Fund received more donations than any other emengency disaster event in our history, totaling more than $510,000.
