April is National Financial Literacy Month! In honor of this, the Prosperity Centers have teamed up with South Carolina Federal Credit Union and Overcomers & Outreach, a ministry Calvary Church of God in Christ to put on the first-ever Finance & Food Trucks event Apr. 29 from 11 am – 2 pm!
This FREE event has something for the whole family! Participants can attend workshops on various financial topics as well as find out about financial resources available throughout the community. Earn coupons for attending workshops and turn them in to earn free or discounted food from featured food trucks!
To keep the kiddos entertained while parents are furthering their financial education, there will be free childcare available for kids ages 3-11. The Berkeley County Book Mobile and Goose Creek Fire Department will be on site along with a children’s train ride, bounce house, crafts and more!
For those who are ready to take the next step in their career, a pop-up shop will have gently used professional clothes for those needing an outfit for job interviews.
Registration begins at 10 am, or you can REGISTER ONLINE HERE.
The Prosperity Centers are a joint-effort between Trident United Way, Palmetto Goodwill and Origin SC to offer career readiness workshops, budgeting classes, computer literacy classes and more. Learn more about the Berkeley and Dorchester Center Prosperity Centers.
