Trident United Way maintains its unwavering commitment to measurable results in the programs we fund.
That’s been our promise to donors for more than a decade.

TUW takes a comprehensive approach to helping children and youth build academic and life success. In addition to our school-based model of intervention, Links to Success, we also invest in programs that provide mentoring and after-school services for at-risk students, as well as programs that mitigate the effects of child abuse.
Links To Success
Links to Success is a research-based initiative developed by TUW to help all children in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties acquire the academic and life skills to graduate from high school and be successful in life.
Links to Success creates partnerships between schools and community organizations to consolidate the delivery of a broad array of services inside identified schools. These partnerships effectively reduce both gaps in service and duplication of services.
Trident United Way and its corporate partners have invested over three-quarters of a million dollars into Links to Success programs at 10 sites throughout the three counties.
The Results Are In!
Links to Success has established a track record of positive outcomes. Eighty-eight percent of the 2,000+ children in Links programs have improved their academic performance and 89% have improved their behavior.
