Position: Director of Leadership Giving
Division: Major Gifts
Reports to: Vice President, Major Gifts
Salary Range: Commensurate with Qualifications and
Experience
Position Summary: Responsible for identifying, cultivating,
soliciting, recognizing and providing stewardship over donors giving
$1,000 to $9,999 annually. Plan and implement all Major Gifts department
stewardship and donor recognition events.
Essential Responsibilities & Functions:
Work with Vice President of Major Gifts and Planned Giving to create
a strategic plan for increasing the number of Palmetto Society members
Develop, implement and track specific programs that will identify,
solicit, involve and retain new leadership donors within the Palmetto
Society (outside of the workplace)
Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies to support
leadership giving
Utilize research, analysis, trends, technology, staff and volunteers
to identify, cultivate, solicit and recognizing major givers through
our Palmetto Society and Friends-level donors (through face-to-face
visits, written proposals, and other direct contacts)
Document results of all substantive contacts with potential donors
Work with staff and volunteers to identify relationship networking,
giving ability and interest of prospects
Complete a minimum number of visits each week while maintaining a
long list of potential prospects for the purpose of developing strategies
and for future solicitations
Plan, design and implement special events that recognize Tocqueville
Society, Legacy Society, Palmetto Society members, Past Presidents,
Women in Philanthropy and prospects
Provide leadership to Trident United Way new Women in Philanthropy
effort
Required Skills: Superior written and oral skills;
strong organizational, interpersonal and planning skills; proven track
record of soliciting and securing major gifts. Ability to work with
diverse volunteers and staff.
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree; minimum 3 years of nonprofit experience with an emphasis
in securing major gifts and relationship building; experience with managing
information systems and constituent databases.

Position: Community
Building Assistant (Part-time)
Division:
Community Building
Report To.
Senior Vice President for Community Building
Salary Range.
Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience
Position
Summary. Perform administrative and coordinating functions
in direct support of the Senior Vice President for Community Building
and in general support of the Community Building Division.
Essential
Responsibilities and Functions:
Assist in the
coordination and execution of the Community Investments process.
Provide operational
support, including but not limited to the following: word processing,
file system organization and maintenance, electronic equipment and
network system support, administrative project management, data input-management-analysis-reporting,
scheduling, electronic and telephonic communications coordination.
Assist with
the coordination of the functions of five Vision Councils through
support of the respective Vision Council staff and providing scheduling,
minutes, mailings, communications, rosters, handout materials and
other general support tasks.
Maintain the
accuracy of all Community Building information on the TUW website
and in TUW reports and literature (in coordination with the Communications
Division and the Special Projects Director)
Maintain the
Community Building Division calendar of events and meetings and the
record of staff calendars.
Complete other
assignments as designated by the Senior Vice President for Community
Building.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A Community College Degree (AA) or successful completion of college
level course work.
Experience:
Three to five years experience in secretarial, and/or, office management,
and/or administrative support tasks and responsibilities.
Required
Skills/Abilities:
Advance knowledge
of personal computer applications using Microsoft PC programs (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint) and word processing, spreadsheets, databases,
and other Windows functions.
Type 45 words per minute with a high level of accuracy.
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including grammar
and spelling.
Highly organized with ability to track multiple projects.
Ability to compile information and prepare reports.
Ability to exercise tact and good judgment.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage responsibilities independently and exercise
initiative.
Ability to work in a team environment.
