America’s
giving spirit and volunteerism inspired Alexis
de Tocqueville during his travels here in 1831.
This inspiration is apparent in our community
as each year more people choose to partner with
Trident United Way in transforming our community
through an annual gift of at least $10,000.
We honor the men and women of our
Tocqueville
Society or their
vision, their compassion, and their lasting
impact on the lives of thousands of families
and individuals in our community.
Imagine
serving as a role model of philanthropic giving
and making a lasting impact on families and individuals,
as well as shaping the future of our community.
By joining the Tocqueville Society, you can become
part of a powerful group of local individuals
who generously donate $10,000 and above annually
to Trident United Way.
In
a community with a long history of people caring
for each other, Trident United Way has set the
standard for creating positive change. Its strategic
community investing, dynamic leadership and commitment
to measurable results have attracted many leadership
contributors and prompted longtime donors to increase
their support.
Nationally,
the Tocqueville Society has over 24,000 members.
Our local chapter had passed the 100 member mark,
making it the largest in South Carolina. This
accomplishment is all the more extraordinary considering
our humble roots – with just four couples comprising
the Society less than a decade ago.
Please
consider investing in Trident United Way by joining
the Tocqueville Society. Your partnership and
involvement will help make our community a better
place for everyone.
